If you are a Pipex customer be aware that Tiscali recently took over the Pipex home user customer base (business customers stay with Pipex).
I am with Freedom2Surf (F2S). Pipex took over F2S some time ago. Now they have sold us out to Tiscali as well as all other Pipex owned ISP home users. I have no idea if they will change the setup for us (such as changing IP stream customers over to Datastream) but I am preparing to jump on the MAC code bandwagon the moment my connection goes dodgy.
Quote: News release 13/07/07 Pipex Communications PLC have this afternoon confirmed the sale of it's residential broadband customer base to Tiscali for a total consideration of approximately ú210 million, on a debt-free basis, before adjustments
As part of the deal customers from Freedom2Surf, Bulldog Broadband, Toucan Broadband, Homecall, Nildram and Pipex Retail will transfer to Tiscali. Pipex Business broadband customers will remain with Pipex and are not part of the deal.
Pipex will retain its web hosting, domain registration and Wimax licensing operation.

Yes. In my days of mass downloading of stuff I was once logged on for over 14 days without a single loss of sync according to my router logs. That was when I had 2 meg before the days of DSLMAX (up to 8 meg) connections and it was back when freedom to surf was a fantastic ISP as opposed to average (i.e. it was before Pipex bought it). ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ -[sig]- ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

From what I gather they ignore all issues, Eve related and others. They want your money. Service comes second.
